Head Rest

We are an employer who is fully committed to helping support and promote positive mental health and well-being amongst our teams, especially as we welcome everyone back at MB House and integrate new ways of working in a post covid world.

Above all, fundamentally we encourage everyone to look out for each other and to be kind. As a business our commitment to mental health and well-being extends across lots of activity, some of which is detailed below.

Mental health first aiders

We have eight fully trained and qualified mental health first aiders within the business who all successfully completed a professional qualification with an external provider and have plans to increase this to a further five members of staff.

24-hour counselling helpline

We lead busy lives and sometimes it may be challenging to balance the pressures of work and home life, and often receiving non-judgemental advice and support from experienced professionals can make all the difference when issues arise.

Our employee assist programme provides confidential support for our employees (and their immediate families) who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, family issues, addictions, debt, bereavement and many more life issues causing distress and discomfort.

All employees have access to a 24-hour counselling helpline to speak with experienced therapists and advisors to receive instant and confidential counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy, day or night and free of charge.

Mental health policy

Our mental Health policy has been created which outlines our commitment in greater detail and can be read here. Sharing communication on positive mental health.

We operate an open-door policy and encourage employees to speak up and voice any concerns that may be causing them issues at work

The ’Head Rest’ brand has been developed as part of our mental health communication campaigns to encourage team members to speak and voice any issues. Head Rest content is aimed at giving insightful tips to boost and motivate in areas such as:

Being in control of their day Take their foot off the pedals!
’A problem shared is a problem halved’ Digital Detox
Be brave and make a change

An empty tank will take you exactly nowhere. Take time to refuel

One small, positive thought in the morning can change your whole day

Self-care is a priority, not a luxury. Invest in your mental health

Head Rest

By providing fundamental benefits such as a modern office environment for us all to flourish, company pension scheme, one to one personal development plans, flexible working through extra benefits such as team building and social events, Pizza Fridays, Lean Lunch days, and being part of a positive work culture, we truly hope that these collective benefits encourage our staff to feel truly appreciated and valued.
